It’s the end of the first month of the year. My 38th birthday has passed, I’ve been over thinking everything and if you’ve been following the ‘365challenge’ you’ll see I’ve been struggling a bit and also that I’ve been trying to take better care of myself. I’m still not. but after seeing a post last week about a daily self-care challenge I thought I would take it up in February. Except the challenge is for 31 days and of course February is a short month, but I’m going to use it for the next 31 posts. Also it’s the month of love and valentine’s day and another where I’ll be single. So I may take myself out on a date, not necessarily on that day but within that week.
I’ve been noticing little things, like avoiding the washing up. How I cook and how I sometimes don’t care if it doesn’t taste right or becomes slosh and thinking ‘would you serve this to anyone? and if not why are you doing it to yourself?’. I’m also in dire need of some new clothes as I’ve lost a bit of weight and nothing fits. So the challenge for the next two months is to get some fitness back, cook/eat right and get some nice clothes and shoes and take myself out once in a while.
